Created in a once world-renowned chocolate factory that opened in 1893, Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square was recently named the best Private Residence Club in North America at the 2012 Fractional Life Summit in London.
Centrally located in San Francisco’s Russian Hill neighborhood, the property has panoramic views of the historic waterfront. Ghirardelli Square was built when Domingo Ghirardelli’s sons purchased a block of property to house their growing chocolate business. To complement the existing Woolen Mill, Apartment Building, and other buildings on the property, the Ghirardellis built the Chocolate Building, Cocoa Building, Power House, and Clock Tower. Ghirardelli Square has been a San Francisco landmark ever since.
